The Boys & Girls Club of North Central Florida is proud to be the Head Start & Early Head Start grantee for Taylor County Florida. We are funded to serve 54 Head Start children ages 3 & 4 and 40 Early Head Start children ages 6 weeks -2 years old.
The Boys & Girls Club Head Start program seeks to serve the entire family through comprehensive services. At the foundation of our program is a series of goals for children (school readiness goals), families (family partnership goals), and the organization (program goals) that address five essential domains: social development, physical development and health, approaches to learning, language and literacy, and cognition and general knowledge. A number of research-based curricula will be implemented including the Creative Curriculum system and Teaching Strategies Gold assessment along with the comprehensive Head Start services model.

Telecommunications Relay Services permit persons with a hearing or speech disability to use the telephone system via a text telephone (TTY) or other device to call persons with or without such disabilities.
Head Start agencies that provide services to children and families must meet the Head Start Program Performance Standards and the requirements set forth in the Head Start Act of 2007. The Office of Head Start also offers direction through Program Instructions (PIs) and Information Memorandums (IMs).
